River County
New Release "Rock'in The Country" Now Available

It all started with of a group of friends in high school who dreamed of winning a talent show, and were brave enough to do it with their own original songs.
The first group to ever win the Whiteland High School talent show with a unanimous vote by all of the judges, they spent the summer playing graduation parties, hog roasts, and winning other competitions … all while honing their musical skills and building the energy of their stage performance.
Within a few short years the band had a full schedule of club dates, performances at state and county fairs across Indiana, concert appearances as opening act for established artists like Andy Griggs, Rascal Flatts, Jack Ingram and Lorrie Morgan, and featured performances at special events like the Indy 500, The Downtown Sky Concert Series and the NASCAR Brickyard 400. With songs on the air on 4 Central Indiana radio stations (WKKG, WLHK, WZPL & WFBQ) River County is ready to reach out and bring their unique brand of Southern Rock and Hot Country to a national audience.

Vocals/Keyboard Jake Hehman
Jacob Andrew Hehman is a singer/songwriter/drummer from Whiteland, IN. While in high school Jacob was very involved in the fine arts doing many plays and musicals. He was also a member of the marching band, show choir, and drama club. Jacob has always been a very talented young man playing the piano, drums, and guitar. But, he focused more on acting through out high school. That is until June 13th of 2002 when a good friend, Greg Lee JR, was killed in an accident. Jacob was on his way home from band practice when his mother told him the news.
That night he sat down and wrote his first song Save a Spot for Me. He kept the song to him self until the time was right, and then played it for his friends, family, and Greg’s family. The song became an instant hit in and around Jacobs Home town. Jacob has since written many songs and performed in many different places. His first concert was on Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis. Followed by the Indiana State Fair, little Nashville Opry, and many backyard benefit concerts. But his favorite to the date is the benefit concert he had in front of his high school. Jacob has a very unique style on and off stage. His dream of acting has helped him with his stage presence and involving the audience. Jacob is very excited about the support he has of the community, but can’t wait to share his music with the world. He says I would rather be a big fish in a little pond, then a little fish in the ocean But I don’t like fish, so I will be a whale.
